One More Strike by Mother Nature

BELLEVILLE IL — June 18, 2019 — As the DIRTcar Summer Nationals and Summit Racing Equipment Modified Nationals enjoy a beautiful night of racing at Jacksonville Speedway tonight, Mother Nature continues her wrath just one hour south in Belleville, Illinois, the next stop on the schedule. Saturated grounds and a 90 percent chance of rain all day and night have forced DIRTcar and track officials to cancel the event early, saving teams a futile journey.

Fortunately, this appears to be Mother Nature’s final strike on Legends Week as the forecast for the following five days looks clear. The Hell Tour will get back in action on Thursday, June 20 at Spoon River Speedway in Canton, IL before heading south again to Tri-City Speedway on Friday, June 21 for a $10,000 to win Feature. Then on Saturday, the tour will make its first stop at Fairbury Speedway for another $10,000-to-win before leaving the Prairie State for Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, IN on Sunday, June 23 and Clarksville Speedway on Monday, June 24.
