TERRE HAUTE, IN — June 28, 2019 — Brandon Sheppard has been the hottest driver on the planet this season, and he showed why on Friday night at the Terre Haute Action Track when the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series battled the DIRTcar Summer Nationals.
While Sheppard, of New Berlin, IL, maintained the top spot and charged to a dominating victory, Bobby Pierce surged from eighth to finish second with legends Darrell Lanigan, Billy Moyer and Shannon Babb rounding out the top five. The victory was Sheppard’s second on the Summer Nationals tour this season, but the first in his #1 Rocket XR1 Outlaw ride as he also won in his family-owned car at Jacksonville Speedway.
