The first night of the 34th Annual Prairie Dirt Classic brought a stout field, thrilling racing, and a new champion for the DIRTcar Summit Racing Equipment Modified Nationals.
Nearly 60 drivers gather at Fairbury Speedway on Friday to compete in Showdown Features, which locked the top-four finishers in each into Saturday’s 40-lap, $5,000-to-win, main event.
Ray Bollinger, Frank Marshall, Mike McKinney and Michael Long each picked up a Showdown Feature win. McKinney’s held the most significance as he’ll only need to start Saturday’s Feature to officially clinch the 2024 DIRTcar Summit Racing Equipment Modified Nationals title.
