Mullins Masters Tri-City for Summit Racing Equipment Modified Nationals Win

 

Pontoon Beach, Ill. — June 22, 2012 — Brent Mullins of Mt. Olive, Ill., became the ninth different winner on the DIRTcar Summit Racing Equipment Modified Nationals tour Friday night besting a field of 24 fellow DIRTcar UMP Modified drivers in the 25-lap main event that paid $1,000-to-win.

Mullins held back defending Summit Modified Nationals Champion Mike Harrison of Highland, Ill., for victory as the two both ran their fastest laps of the main event within the final 2 circuits.  Lance Dehm of Chatsworth, Ill., finished the event in third.  Michael Long of Quincy, Ill., and Levi Kissinger of Mt. Vernon, Ind., rounded out the top five.

The DIRTcar Summit Racing Equipment Modified Nationals returns to action Saturday night at Fairbury American Legion Speedway in Fairbury, Ill., where Jim Farris of Odell, Ill., outran Lance Dehm, Jeff Curl, and Mike Harrison for the make-up race win in 2011.
