Hoffman, Krup Carry Hope for Harlie at Cedar Ridge

MORGANTOWN, KY – Nick Hoffman won the first-ever DIRTcar Summit Racing Equipment Modified Nationals visit to the Cedar Ridge Speedway on Friday night. Will Krup picked up the $6,000 payday on Saturday to wrap up the sixth annual Hope for Harlie weekend.

Friday night, Hoffman held off fast qualifier Tyler Nicely in the 30-lap, $1,500-to-win Feature. The current Summit Modified points leader led flag-to-flag to pick up the win in the inaugural visit to Cedar Ridge.

Saturday night was a picture-perfect night for Krup. The Illinois driver set quick time in Qualifying, putting him on the pole of his Heat race. Krup won the Heat, sending him to the redraw and starting him third. Nicely led the race into Turn 1 until he got loose on the exit of Turn 2, allowing Krup to advance to the lead. Hoffman battled his way to the runner-up position, challenging Krup for the lead, but Krup had an excellent car on the top groove allowing him to pull away.

Krup became the 66th different winner with the DIRTcar Summit Racing Equipment Modified Nationals, cashing in the $6,000 payday to conclude the Hope for Harlie weekend.
