Harrison Wins at Lincoln

Mike Harrison Wins Lincoln Speedway Make-up Event

Equipment Modified Nationals at Lincoln Speedway’s make-up event from it’s July 1 rain out. Harrison started on the outside front row of the event and showed the way around the 1/4 mile Illinois oval towards the checkered flag.

“ We put hard work into this race. The boys kept everything bolted on the car and it makes my job easier in the seat. I just had to keep the front end and all 4-tires on the car and not give up,” comment Harrison after his $1,500 victory.

Following Harrison to the checkered was Mike McKinney. McKinney has scored 6 wins in the tour for 2018 and is currently 2nd in points behind Harrison.

“ It’s been a tough weekend. We haven’t had many race tracks we can race on. Tonight’s track was good but a little faster then I like. We were still good around the bottom though. We were able to keep up with the leader. I can’t complain. We have a really good car right now, just got to get some race tracks we like. This has been the best month of racing in my career. We’re just going to stay out there and try to score a couple more wins,” comment McKinney following the event.

Jeffrey Ledford came in 3rd behind the dueling Harrison and Mckinney. Ray Bollinger came in the 4th position with Curt Roberts rounding out the top 5.
