Fox Fights to Tri-State DIRTcar Summit Modified Nationals Triumph

 

Haubstadt, Ind. — July 8, 2012 — Michael Fox of Bridgeport, Ill., became the 20th different winner on the DIRTcar Summit Racing Equipment Modified Nationals tour Sunday Night at Tri-State Speedway.  Fox earned $1,000 for his efforts.

The victory was Fox’s first Modified Nationals win of his career besting a tour high 53 DIRTcar UMP Modified entries.  Stan Beadles of Princeton, Ind., finished second and Stephen Schnapf of Newburg, Ind. finished third.  Paducah International Raceway Modified Nationals winner Matt Mevert of Steeleville, Ill., finished fourth.  Larry Anderson of Clay City, Ill., rounded out the top five.

 

Defending  DIRTcar Summit Racing Equipment Modified Nationals Champion Mike Harrison of Highland, Ill., retained his DIRTcar Summit Modified Nationals point lead of 42 markers over Ray Bollinger of Kewanee, Ill., with five events remaining.

The DIRTcar Summit Racing Equipment Modified Nationals returns to action Tuesday night at Florence Speedway in Union, Ky., for a $1,000-to-win event.
