Curl Dominates at Kankakee County for Summit Modified Nationals Win

 

Kankakee, Ill. – June 14, 2012 –Jeff Curl of Forrest, Ill., captured the second night of the 2012 edition of the DIRTcar Summit Racing Equipment Modified Nationals at Kankakee County Speedway in Kankakee, Ill., Thursday night worth a nice $1,000.

Curl, who was the 2011 Summit Modified Nationals runner-up, earned his first win of 2012 with the victory by holding off second starter Jason Hastings of hometown Kankakee.  Kankakee County Speedway DIRTcar UMP Modified track point leader Jamie Lomax of Lake Village, Ind., would finish third after he climbed from an eighth-place starting spot.  Kevin Hastings, also of Kankakee and 2011 DIRTcar Stock Car National Champion Nate Zimmer of Mattoon, Ill., would round out the top five.

The DIRTcar Summit Racing Equipment Modified Nationals will make its next stop Friday at Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wis., where driver Ryan Gustin of Marshalltown, Iowa won last year’s event.
