Cooper Races to Clayhill Motorsports Park Summit Modified Nationals Win

 

Atwood, Tenn. — June 28, 2012 — Matt Cooper of McKenzie, Tenn., drove to Summit Modified Nationals victory lane Thursday night at Clayhill Motorsports Park for the first time in his career.  Cooper earned $1,000 for his efforts.

Cooper outran Tennessee drivers Ronnie Vernon of Friendship and hometown driver T.J. Hendron of Atwood en route to the win.  Vernon finished second ahead of Hendron.  Preston Seratt of Finley, Tenn., finished fourth and James Cooper of Kenton, Tenn., rounded out the top five

The DIRTcar Summit Racing Equipment Modified Nationals returns to action Friday night at Paducah International Raceway in Paducah, Ky., where defending champion Mike Harrison of Highland, Ill., won his fourth of eight Summit Modified Nationals events in 2011.
