David Mielke Wins at Thunderbird Raceway
MUSKEGON, MI- Taking home his first Summit Racing Equipment Modified win of 2018 David Mielke of Gladwin, MI showed the way around the Michigan oval to pick up the $1,000 victory Wednesday evening. Mielke lead a strong Michigan contingency that included 7 drivers out of the top 10 finishing positions.
The win also marked a clean sweep of the even by Mielke as earlier in the evening he won heat 3 and set fast time for group 2 in qualifying.
Mielke was followed to the line by fellow Michigan native Jacob Poel of Spring Lake, MI. Jamie Lomax followed in the 3rd position with Collin Thiriby coming in 4th and series points contender Mike McKinney of Plainfield, IL rounding out the top 5.
