HIGHLAND, IL — June 29, 2019 — Moweaqua, IL-native Shannon Babb scored his first DIRTcar Summer Nationals win of the season — and 98th of this career — at Highland Speedway, battling Brandon Sheppard in the opening laps before taking the lead on lap 18 and maintaining it for the remaining 32 for a $10,000 payday. Billy Moyer and Rusty Schlenk completed the podium, while Jason Feger chargef from 14th to finish fourth.

06/28/19 Terre Haute Action Track

TERRE HAUTE, IN — June 28, 2019 — World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series points leader Brandon Sheppard led the DIRTcar Summer Nationals Feature at Terre Haute Action Track flag-to-flag for the win largely unchallenged. Rookie Ricky Weiss made an impressive run on Sheppard during the opening laps, and Bobby Pierce charged up from his eighth starting position in the closing laps to finish second with Darrell Lanigan behind him. Billy Moyer and Shannon Babb completed the top five.

06/26/19 Peoria Speedway

PEORIA, IL — June 26, 2019 — Brian Shirley claimed the VP Racing Fuels Checkered flag at Peoria Speedway from the outside front row. Brandon Sheppard started off strong on the bottom until Shirley got a grip on the outside and powered to the lead. Bobby Pierce worked to the runner-up position with Frank Heckenast Jr. following in third.

06/25/19 Tri-City Speedway

PONTOON BEACH, IL — June 25, 2019 — Brandon, FL native Kyle Bronson scored his first DIRTcar Summer Nationals win of the season at Tri-City Speedway in a last lap pass that sent leader Tyler Erb into the wall outside turn three. Bobby Pierce and current points leader Brian Shirley — charging from his 19th starting position — completed the podium.

06/18/19 Jacksonville Speedway

JACKSONVILLE, IL — June 18, 2019 — New Berlin, Il native Brandon Sheppard scored his first DIRTcar Summer Nationals win of the season (of two completed events) and second consecutive Hell Tour win at Jacksonville Speedway in a late race pass over former tour champion Bobby Pierce. Starting on the pole and leading the first 37 laps of the $5,000-to-win Feature with defending tour Champion Brian Shirley, Pierce settled for second. Shirley, who shot up from sixth in the opening laps, maintained position to complete the podium.

6/13/19 Kankakee County Speedway

KANKAKEE, IL — June 13, 2019 — Defending DIRTcar Summer Nationals Champion Brian Shirley stole the lead from Frank Heckenast Jr on lap two of the tour opener and went on to lead the remaining 38 laps for his 20th all-time Summer Nationals win and first-ever win at Kankakee County Speedway. Heckenast and Rusty Schlenk battled for second with Schlenk settling for third after Shannon Babb, who started third, experienced car trouble during the first half of the Feature.
