The Mountaineer State driver beat Schlenk to the finish line by 0.476 of a second to tally his first-ever Hell Tour triumph in what was his first career visit to the 3/8-mile oval outside Toledo.
LAKE ODESSA, MI — July 12, 2018 — Coming alive on the inside of the track, Jason Feger of Bloomington, IL overtook Billy Moyer for the lead on lap 36 and held on to score his first DIRTcar Summer Nationals victory of 2018 in Thursday night’s 40-lap Dan Salay Memorial at I-96 Speedway. Rusty Schlenk charged around the outside to make a final, furious bid for the $5,000 top prize, but he slipped over the cushion in turn four on the last circuit and Moyer beat him to the line to finish second, 0.755 of a second behind Feger.
