Receding Floodwaters Still Too High to Run Saturday’s Summer Nationals Event at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55

PEVELY, MO – July 2, 2019 – First officials tried moving the event back a weekend, but still the Mississippi River has not cooperated enough. Unfortunately, DIRTcar and Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 officials will have to cancel the DIRTcar Summer Nationals and Summit Racing Equipment Modified Nationals events scheduled for this Saturday, July 6.

Tonight, as Series Announcer Ruben Mireles declared in Victory Lane, “Babb is Back!” as he emerged victorious for the 98th time in his Summer Nationals career Saturday night at the Highland Speedway.

“Squirrel” Bags Fourth Summer Nationals Win in Six Races

PEORIA, IL – June 26, 2019 – The 19th Series visit to Peoria Speedway was a stellar one as fans packed the stands on Wednesday night. Twenty-six DIRTcar Late Models checked in for the $5,000.00 to win round one make-up race for the DIRTcar Summer Nationals.

 

Brian Shirley claimed the VP Racing Fuels Checkered flag once again as he won from the outside front row. Shirley now ties Shannon Babb for the most wins at Peoria Speedway with four wins apiece.

Bronson becomes 100th Summer Nationals Winner

PONTOON BEACH, IL — June 25, 2019 — Kyle Bronson scored his first-ever DIRTcar Summer Nationals vctory with a wild pass on Tyler Erb at Tri-City Speedway. Erb slid past Bronson early in the race, and Bronson answered at the end, coming to the money.

 

Chad Simpson set the front row looking to pick up his second ever Hell Tour victory. The fast time qualifier Billy Moyer Jr would set the outside front row. Simpson led the opening laps until Bronson hustled to second from the fourth starting position on the first lap and took the lead on lap three with a fast pass on the bottom of the exit of two. Erb jumped to second with Moyer Jr to third after Simpson drew the yellow falling off the pace.

CONCORD, NC — Jun. 24, 2018 — Brian Shirley took command of the DIRTcar Summer Nationals tour during Legends Week with victories at Spoon River Speedway and Fairbury Speedway. Now he and all of the DIRTcar Late Model drivers turn their focus to a couple of make-up events from the previous two weeks —  Tri-City Speedway on Tuesday, June 25 and Peoria Speedway on Wednesday, June 26 — before officially commencing the aptly named Challenge Week on Thursday, June 27 at Brownstown Speedway.
